When the Horizon Is Veiled

There are moments in life when the horizon glows bright and clear —

When every color feels alive, and you can see exactly where your next step will lead.

And then there are times when the view is hidden, the sky dimmed,

and you find yourself standing still, waiting for the light to return.

But even in those veiled seasons, something sacred is taking place.

Just as an artist steps back from a painting to add new strokes,

so God steps close — layering your life with quiet touches of color you may not yet see.

The picture isn’t finished; it’s simply in progress.

Sometimes you can even sense it —

like the faint scent of fresh paint in the air,

reminding you that change is happening.

That what feels unfinished today will soon take shape in ways more beautiful than you imagined.

So take heart.

The clouds will pass.

The horizon will open again.

And when it does, you’ll see that every delay, every pause,

was part of the masterpiece being created within you.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus,

so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

— Ephesians 2:10
