When the Detour Is the Path

There are seasons when the steps toward your goal don’t move in a straight line.

You make plans, set intentions, and begin to move forward — only to find yourself rerouted through unexpected turns and delays.

It can feel frustrating, even unfair, when progress is interrupted. Yet, what if the detour isn’t actually interference? What if it’s instruction?

Sometimes the extra steps — the pauses, the redirections, the waiting — are not meant to keep us from our destination but to prepare us for it.

The terrain you cross along the way may strengthen your faith, deepen your patience, or soften your heart in ways you couldn’t have known you needed.

Only after you arrive do you often look back and realize:

Every turn had purpose. Every delay was direction. Every detour was divine.

Trust that the journey — even the parts that make no sense — is shaping you into the person who will recognize the destination when you finally arrive.
