Surrender to Life

To surrender to life

is to fall into its arms

the way a lover leans into trust —

eyes closed,

heart open,

ready to be caught by the unseen.

It is not defeat,

but devotion.

A vow whispered to the wind:

“I am yours.”

To surrender

is to stop reaching for control

and instead trace the curve

of what is —

like fingers along the edge

of mystery.

It is the art of allowing,

the holy softness

that lets the river carry you

without asking where it ends.

Sometimes surrender feels like ache,

sometimes like grace.

It is the silence between heartbeats

where love learns to listen.

It is the breath you exhale

when you finally stop trying to breathe for two.

Surrender is the dance

between longing and trust,

where the soul presses close to life

and whispers,

“Lead me.”

And life,

ever so gently,

draws you in —

and you realize

you were never falling,

you were always being held.
