THE GIFT OF A RAINBOW BABY

Life can take us down many roads.

Some directions come from what we have learned—through what we know, what we see, and the plans we carefully make. Yet other paths are unseen. They are not found on a map, but are felt deep within the heart.

Sometimes we choose our direction. Sometimes we simply follow. And sometimes, life gently leads us where we never imagined we would go.

Along the journey, life holds unexpected curves. There are turns that cause us to pause. Moments of loss. Moments of heartbreak. Moments that forever change us.

A broken heart does heal, but I believe a healed heart is different. It moves a little less hurried. It notices more. It becomes gentler, more compassionate, and more aware of the rainbows that appear after the storm.

A rainbow baby is one of those rainbows.

Not because they replace the child who came before them—they never could—but because they remind us that love continues. They are God’s gentle whisper that hope still lives, that joy can return, and that new beginnings are possible even after profound loss.

When you hold a rainbow baby in your arms, you begin to understand something beyond words.

You realize that even in life’s deepest sorrow, God never let go of your hand.

When you have the love of a rainbow baby, you know that God has held you in the palm of His hands all along.

To my precious granddaughter, Isabella, who shines from Heaven, and my sweet grandson, Gavin, our rainbow of hope on Earth. You are both forever held in GOD’S heart.💙🌈💖
