What Is a Song, Really?

I think a song is many things.

For the listener, it becomes a voice that speaks what the heart longs to hear —

words that reach through sound to find the places inside us

we didn’t know we were waiting to be touched.

It is a companion for the soul,

a mirror that reflects back what we feel,

but can’t always say.

For the singer, though, the song is something different.

It is not simply performed — it is released.

It rises from a place deep within,

where ache and beauty live side by side.

Every note carries a pulse of truth,

a confession wrapped in melody,

a prayer disguised as sound.

Sometimes the song is meant to be heard —

because love wants a voice.

It wants to move through air and time

and reach the ears it was written for.

When the heart is full,

it pours itself into melody.

And when the soul remembers

something eternal,

Heaven listens too.

For a song is not just music.

It is love finding its way home.

It is a moment when Heaven and Earth

share the same breath.

Each note becomes a thread

woven into forever —

a sound that will never be lost,

only carried higher,

where love continues to listen.
