EVERYDAY LOVE

Love—such a word.

Especially this week.

All the red.

Everyone talking about it.

Plans being made.

I don’t ever want to knock it. Truly. But if I’m honest, I’ve never quite understood why we focus on love as if it is meant to be made special for just one day out of the year. Why are we led to believe this is the day to show it?

Why not show your love every day?

It has never fully made sense to me that something so deep, as love, could be narrowed down to a single date on a calendar. That doesn’t mean I don’t believe in making a day feel a little more special—there is beauty in intention. There is sweetness in the stillness.

But sometimes I feel the bar in our world today could be raised.

Love can be expressed deeply every single day of the year—in small gestures, in patience, in quiet presence, in the way we choose one another again and again.

Regardless, I’m wishing everyone a very happy Valentine’s Day ❤️
